Pennon Hill Chardonnay
Wine
Montalto Pennon Hill Chardonnay is handpicked from a selection of vineyards across Red Hill, Main Ridge and Tuerong on the Mornington Peninsula.
The fruit is whole bunch pressed directly to French oak with a considered amount of solids. Fermentation is with wild yeasts.
Natural malolactic fermentation brings the natural acidity back into balance. The wine then matures on lees for nine months with lees stirring to enhance the flavour and texture.
Pale straw green, Montalto Pennon Hill Chardonnay has juicy stone fruit flavours, tangy acidity and generous texture. Cellaring potential is five years.
